One of the most elegant forms of dancing is ballroom dancing, encompassing many styles, including waltz, tango, and fox trot.  With ballroom dancing making a marvelous comeback,  we are reminded of the magical musical dance movies when Fred Astaire would sweep Ginger Rogers in his arms and whirl her around the dance floor.  Ballroom dancing seems to convey an elegant and timeless quality.  Even in the 21st century, despite the technical revolution and the current economic woes, women still love to be romanced, while men enjoy the chivalry involved in romancing.   In the 18th and 19th Centuries, it was enjoyed mainly by the well-to-do, but today, ballroom is enjoyed all over the world by people of all ages and economic backgrounds.  Ballroom transports its participants to that magical place where you can still find elegant and graceful dancers like Fred and Ginger.  Our love affair lives on and will likely continue to do so as long as there are people to enjoy its many benefits.
